What's this?
Young Justin Bieber is rumored to start attending highschool at *gulp*, MY Old highschool?
Oh, the delight! The SHEER delight! I told Jon to get on that. He does Young Life at that school. Look out, Thousand Oaks. We haven't had this much excitement since Kramer, Colbie Calliat or Marian Jones.
We're due for a slice of stardom.
Although, I'm a little concerned this will be the result of such tween heart-throbbedness entering into suburbia's safest city and potentially safest school...
Oh, the Biebz ( as Sarah says)
Truth be told I can't take the kid seriously. And what's more, I can't stand the way the kids I work with are creepily obsessed.
Anyhow, this weekend was a altogether pretty great. Saturday I packed in a worship practice from 1-3:30 then booked it right to Thousand Oaks to perform at Conejo Valley Days for all my family and local friends. It was kind of awesome. The audience sat on hay.
Hay.
And from every angle there was ride noise.. you know that set of sounds that can only be experienced at a carnival? The clack clack clack of the tracks, the hissing of whatever cheap hydraulic system is in place for the ones that shoot up in the air... the screaming of clusters of children... the ding ding dings of the games?
Ohhh to get to sing over them was a joy.
It was honestly really fun to be able to perform with a full band of good friends for my friends and family, many of which " Had NO idea" that I did this... There were members of my family that said.." I honestly had no idea you were so talented".. Thanks? My Grandma cried. This time it wasn't from disappointment though, but pride. That felt good.
We spent to rest of the evening with Blue Moons and food prepped by Jon and I . After everyone left he and I saw "How to Tame Your Dragon" which...
I LOVED. LERVED LOVED LAWVED IT.
In Classic ME fashion I forgot it would be in 3D and wore my glasses... so I had to wear BOTH pairs of glasses and I felt like a real L7 weenie.
The rest of the weekend came and went so fast as time tends to do these days. And now I'm back to wanting to lock myself in my office, turn the lights off and hide from the Bieber fever stricken 9 year olds that yell at me everyday. Yayyyy!
That's all for now, loves.
